$33,672 - $44,280 Annual Range
Under the clinical supervision of a licensed physician and surgeon, psychiatrist, or podiatrist, Medical Assistants provide basic medical support to patients with mental or physical disabilities, and to medically ill or inform patients; and also perform basic administrative and clerical support, as well as other related work. Medical Assistants also work under assigned administrative supervision when working under the clinical supervision of a non-supervisory or managerial physician and surgeon, psychiatrist, or podiatrist.

Possession of a valid certificate from an agency approved by the Department of Consumer Affairs, Medical Board of California to practice as a Medical Assistant.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
